About

Bishop Gregory K. Riggen

Bishop Gregory K. Riggen was born in Lafayette, Indiana in 1960 and raised by parents who were not believers. At the age of eleven, despite parental opposition, he began attending an Apostolic Pentecostal Church. By twelve he had received the Holy Ghost and been baptized in Jesus’ Name, and he went on to lead his immediate family to the Lord. He felt the call to ministry that same summer and preached his first sermon at the age of thirteen.

After completing high school in Dallas, Texas, Bishop Riggen enrolled at Texas Bible College in Houston, where he served as yearbook editor and senior class president before graduating as valedictorian with a 4.0 grade point average and a Bachelor of Theology degree.

His pastoral ministry began in Tatum, Texas at the age of twenty-four, and has continued through Aransas Pass, Texas; Cañon City, Colorado; Jayess, Mississippi; and presently Olathe, Kansas, where he leads New Life Ministries.

In 1988 he published The Madness and Method of Modern Music, and has since written numerous Bible studies and doctrinal books — all available at olathetruth.com/resources. In 2013, Bishop Riggen founded A2Z Missions, conducting pastor conferences across Southern Africa with baptisms and leadership training.
